Sr. Interaction Designer
Our Interaction Designers are charged with designing and improving the Church’s public websites and internal web applications. We need highly skilled designers who have a passion for beautiful, functional web design and a love for the work of the Lord.
Applying candidates must have each of the following:
- Must be a member of The LDS Church, currently temple worthy
- Exceptional web-focused interaction design skills
- Ability to conduct business analysis and define requirements
- Solid UI and front-end web development skills
- The ability to lead through influence
- A relentless drive for results
- A minimum of 5 years experience in website or web application design
Exceptional candidates will have one or more of the following:
- The ability to rapidly create web standard XHTML/CSS prototypes
- The ability to conduct effective user research
- The ability to analyze, organize and categorize content
- Exceptional visual design skills
- Proven experience creating localized, global websites or web applications
IT Solutions Interaction Designer
This is a new position in the IT department of the Church. You will be charged with ensuring that our IT solutions provide the best end-user experiences possible. You will work with IT engineers to design the end-user experience of a variety of IT solutions including corporate desktop, enterprise mail, enterprise directory, WiFi deployment, IP Telephony, Video conferencing and much more. You will assist in new product selections to ensure that end-user experience is properly considered. If you are passionate about designing and delivering great IT solutions that are easy to use and easy to support and furthering the Lord’s work, then we want to talk to you.
Applying candidates must have each of the following:
- Driving focus on creating exceptional end-user experiences
- Broad technical knowledge in corporate IT technologies like mail, directory, desktop OS and applications, WiFi, IP Telephony and Video conferencing
- Deep technical knowledge in at least two IT technologies
- Ability to come up to speed on new technologies quickly
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lead through influence
- Relentless drive for results
- B.S. or graduate degree in Computer Science or Design or a related discipline
- 5 years of experience in IT solution delivery
- Temple worthy member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Exceptional candidates will have one or more of the following:
- Experience designing, planning and executing the roll out of large corporate IT solutions
- Experience working with large global deployments in multiple languages and locales
- Good user interface design skills
- Good technical writing skills
- Good XHTML/CSS coding skills
