Sometimes when I work, I like to play a little music in the background. Recently, I’ve been listening to a lot of Jonathan Coulton. However, other times, when I want something a little more relaxing, I put on Solo Piano Radio. What internet stream or artist do you enjoy while working

Recently: Frank Sinatra, David Gray, Ryan Adams, The Shins, and the Juno soundtrack. By recently, I of course mean just today.

I’ve logged so many hours listening to itunes radio that I feel guilty for not having donated to my favorite stations. I’ll get around to at at some point, though. My favorites include Jet City Lounge by Groovera, Low Mercury By Groovera, and Groove Salad by Soma.fm (all under ambient in itunes, and conveniently grouped together.)

When I need to get pumped up I listen to Bassdrive (under electronic in itunes) though I hate how much the djs talk during the music.

I like to listen to my custom shuffle smart playlist and be surprised at what comes up. But when I really want to get down and design, I put on some good instrumental tunes: Boards of Canada, Zero 7, El Ten Eleven, Ray Barbee, and Ulrich Schnauss are among my faves.
